Why do people hate the phrase “It Is What It Is”? Why do people love it?

Because recently, I’ve had a revelation about how creators can use it to their benefit.

The statement “It Is What It Is” used to really bother me because of how most people use it. How do you use it? Acceptance? Tolerance? Coping? Giving up? Hakuna Matata? However it is, I’d like to hear what you think about it.
